Testimonials
Dear Ted:
Thank you for your assistance and advice.
Yours truly;
Thomas G. Whealy
“Premier, in addition to seniors, your tax grab is going to hit another group of Ontarians who can’t afford it—some of the over 300,000 people who have lost their jobs in McGuinty’s Ontario,” said Hardeman. “The newspapers they need for want ads will be up 8%. The Internet service they need to look for a job online will increase 8%. Even the stamps to mail their application will be going up 8%.”
In addition to Hardeman’s question the PC Caucus questioned the Premier about the impact on seniors. Wernham Wealth Management, a respected investment counselling firm from London calculated that the cost for seniors will be $1,561 per year. This calculation was based on a typical retired couple receiving an after-tax income of $41,400 a year.
